Growing up I saw my mom drinking tea all the time. Signing for Ceramics 1 as a senior and having the opportunity to get on the wheel for the first time, I was intrigued. So, for my art project, I wanted to explore throwing cups with little amounts of clay that would be the size of a tea cup. I used around a pound to a pound and a half of clay to try and throw each cup. After countless attempts at throwing these cups, I finished each cup off with a cohesive blue underglaze, while my mom's favorite color is blue. This idea inspired from a project that was done earlier in the year about using my voice for a cause. For my cause, I wanted to use my voice to project dyslexia awareness. I then used different glazes on top of each cup so they would all be just a little different from each other. I'm looking forward to the future. I'll look for opportunities to get back on the wheel in college and continue my 3D art journey.
